Buyer II

• Interfaces with buyers, company executives, program managers, engineers, and infrastructure managers in accounting, property, security, shipping/receiving, information technology, facilities, and contracting
• Backs up and supports procurement managers in preparation, management, and closeout of subcontracts and consulting agreements, as assigned
• Assists in developing and reporting metrics for purchasing actions and customer service
• Participates in continuous improvement program, recommending process changes and techniques and assisting in implementation
• Supports teamwork, customer service, positive interpersonal relationship techniques, and alignment with Company mission, values, and goals

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Equivalent
• 1-2 years purchasing experience as a Buyer practiced in Department of Defense regulatory procurement

• Purchasing of highly complex, technical, and high dollar materials, supplies, and services for Department of Defense (DoD) or DoD contractor
• Customer service, teamwork, and positive communications skills

• Some infrequent travel may be required
