Description

We are seeking a mid-level Logistics Engineer to plan, develop, and sustain Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for C4I, IT, and communications infrastructure systems across their full life cycle. You will work alongside program management, systems engineering, and installation teams to make sure fielded systems arrive supportable, maintainable, and ready for the warfighter.
This role suits someone who has supported hardware and network infrastructure from acquisition through fielding and sustainment, and who can turn engineering data into practical support products.

  • Developing and maintaining ILS deliverables, including the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), ILS Plan, and Product Support Strategy
  • Planning and executing support across DoW Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements for C4I, IT, and communications systems
  • Performing Logistics Product Data / Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
  • Conducting Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and support Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) assessments with systems engineering
  • Developing provisioning technical documentation, spares recommendations, and sparing models for initial and sustainment support
  • Managing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence for COTS IT and network hardware, including technology refresh planning
  • Coordinating configuration data, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation updates with engineering and configuration management
  • Supporting system installations, fielding, and site activations, including logistics readiness reviews and turnover packages
  • Helping develop training requirements and plans for operators and maintainers
  • Preparing for and supporting Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs), milestone reviews, and logistics certification
  • Tracking sustainment cost, schedule, and performance metrics; briefing status and risks to program leadership
  • Writing and reviewing logistics sections of proposals, SOWs, CDRLs, and other contract deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business, or a related field; an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute
  • Five plus years of DoD logistics engineering or product support experience
  • Three plus years supporting C4I, Information Technology, and/or communications infrastructure programs
  • Experience developing ILS products such as LCSPs, provisioning data, maintenance plans, or technical documentation
  • Familiarity with LSA / logistics product data standards
  • Experience supporting COTS hardware and network systems, including obsolescence management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing government customers and leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)

Desired Skills

  • DAU Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) at the Practitioner level, or legacy DAWIA Level II
  • Experience with Navy C4I or network programs (e.g., NAVWAR / NIWC, CANES, NMCI, ONE-NET) or equivalent Army, Air Force, or Joint programs
  • Shipboard or shore installation experience, including fielding and site activation logistics
  • Familiarity with Navy logistics systems and data (e.g., CDMD-OA, NTCSS, APL/AEL development)
  • Experience preparing for Independent Logistics Assessments or logistics certification
  • Hands-on background in telecommunications, network, or IT hardware maintenance (prior military maintainer experience is a plus)
  • Experience on a new-start program, standing up ILS from the ground up
