Description

  • Consulting with division or business unit management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), overseeing the employee performance evaluation process
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Providing guidance and input on staffing, compensation, business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Identifying training needs for business units and individual coaching needs
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of  employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal department as needed/required
  • Analyzing trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Participating in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs, follows-up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation, responding to employee questions regarding company policies, procedures and work-related problems, exercising judgment in providing pertinent information and assistance to authorized company personnel
  • Supporting new employee orientation and exit interview process
  • Updating employee databases, compiles personnel statistics/reports, and prepares complex charts, forms and presentations as required

Requirements

  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and eight years work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of advanced professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices and methods
  • The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, Other important skills include analytical, computer and inter-personal skills
  • DoW experience
