Description

The Engineering Technician will work with STEI and shipboard stakeholders to conduct installations, System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT), provide onsite and remote onboard technical troubleshooting support to designated shipboard platforms.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installing and configuring shipboard Carry On Equipment (COE) systems
  • Troubleshooting of COE hardware and software systems quickly and efficiently

Requirements

  • High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate
  • 15 years of full-time professional experience working as an Engineering Technician in providing technical support related to the design, development, production, or testing of shipboard systems
  • 10 years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any one major shipboard system/equipment, desired full-time experience precludes concurrent experience on more than one system/equipment unless they are all equivalent in complexity and maintenance philosophy

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL with CI POLY ELIGIBILITY
