Description

In support of the US Navy SIGINT mission, the DevOps Engineer will be a member of the Afloat Signals Exploitation (ASE) team contributing to the design and implementation of US Navy mission applications in a cloud environment on the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS). The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and a history of direct involvement with successful cloud based engineering efforts.

 

  • Designing and building the cloud environment necessary to support US Navy mission applications using the latest CI/CD technologies
  • Supporting the DevOps team in refactoring/transitioning legacy software applications to a cloud based micro-service architecture
  • Developing custom scripts or small compiled applications based on internal and external customer requests
  • Researching and recommending innovative and feasible automated approaches for software integration/development
  • Being a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines
  • Being a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and eight or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Expert with AWS Cloud hosting platform and core AWS services (S3, RDS, EC2, VPC, CloudFront)
  • Five or more years of hands on experience designing, developing, and operating an enterprise level CI/CD pipeline
  • Five or more years of experience with Atlassian products (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
  • Five or more years of experience with automated build tools (Jenkins, Git)
  • Five or more years of experience with container management/deployment
  • Strong experience with Ansible/Ansible Tower
  • Strong problem solving skills and must be able to work independently and/or lead a small team
  • Have developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniques

Desired Skills

  • Strong experience with JFrog Artifactory

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
