Description

This position will act as the lead contractor in charge of Site Support operations for the TacMobile project.  This position will oversee the Site Support Staff and will task the team based on customer needs. 

 

Duties will include:

  • Interfacing with the NIWC customer directly to properly staff and operate the Site Support team.
  • Training and cross training of Site Support Staff in conjunction with the Level 3 Subject Matter Experts in the NIWC facilities labs
  • Planning on improvements and upgrades to the TacMobile Site Support structure, direction, tool selection, process and procedures
  • Interfacing with USN Fleet personnel to resolve help desk
  • Interfacing with USN Fleet personnel to ensure satisfaction with Help Desk processes and receive feedback
  • Reporting up the chain of command
  • Presenting to NIWC and Fleet at Program Management Reviews and other program-level reporting meetings
  • Performing configuration management of servers & endpoints across the enterprise to enable consistent configurations, security compliance, and recovery
  • Supervising team to provide end user services
  • Analyzing and evaluating requirements to define the problem, data availability, report requirements, and system design problems
  • Defining system objectives and preparing system design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems
  • Defining controls, conversion procedures, and system implementation plans including user training and orientation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight plus (8+) years of work-related experience or a master’s degree and six plus (6+) years of work-related experience in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of complex, technical and professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices, and methods
  • In relation to other jobs in the same function, this job requires an advanced level of proficiency to apply broad knowledge and experience. This job may provide direction/leadership to others as a lead or technical specialist
  • The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are leadership skills
