Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $100,050.00/Yr. - USD $166,750.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a well-rounded Systems and DEVOPS Engineer to oversee the implementation of Information Technology (IT) systems and architecture, security and compliance management, and performance monitoring and optimization to support the requirements for United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) command and control facilities. Manages and coordinates the systems design and provides installation oversight for a new joint communications network by engaging with other project and systems engineers to ensure USSPACECOM systems operate at peak functionality. Work supporting USSPACECOM will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, data, and system engineers
  • Working across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systemic problems
  • Designing and document installation and configuration solutions

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years minimum experience in DoD or Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Information Systems Management supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
  • Five (5) years minimum of hands-on professional experience as IT Engineer supporting program/project of similar size and scope (($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
  • Five (5) years minimum of hands-on professional experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Experience with system administration of Windows or Linux.
  • Experience with DevOps and Security engineering practices
  • Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Citrix and NetScaler
  • Experience with Nutanix hardware and software (e.g. Acropolis Hypervisor) and virtualized infrastructure
  • Experience with on-premnd/or commercial cloud environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective technical writing and briefing skills

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL.
