Description

The Engineer will be responsible for design and sustainment of Information Warfare Systems for Department of Defense (DOD) customers. The Engineer will participate in engineering efforts of design and system level integration of commercial off the shelf (COTS) systems and components. The Engineer will work with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers and drafters to create hardware and/or software solutions and drawing packages. Work will include research, component selection, design, and testing, and working with a design team and production facility to design, build, test, and document design efforts.

The Engineer will:

  • Researching, developing, documenting, and recommending solutions or improvements for technical engineering problems of moderate scope
  • Interpreting data and verifying product documentation, designs, layouts, or drawings for adequacy and accuracy
  • Researching and preparing draft and/or finished engineering presentations, reports, process studies, or technical information used for program reviews, design reviews, and proposal activities
  • Initiating, developing, and maintaining active interfaces and coordination/exchange of technical information among multi-disciplined engineering groups, subcontractors, and/or the customer
  • Analyzing, developing, and maintaining technical databases and supportive engineering systems

Requirements

  • Must have a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in Electrical hardware design of DoD systems
  • Experience in Schematic, System Interconnect, System architecture development
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement equipment and demonstrated experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies
  • Experience with market research, component selection and procurement
  • Experience with DoD drawing packages
  • Experience with production, assembly, bill of materials development

Desired Skills

  • PCB design experience; schematic capture, constraint/design rule definition, layout, generation of manufacturing outputs, and documentation, experience with Siemens (Mentor Graphics) ECAD tools
  • Design experience with AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • RF design and test and measurement experience
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and test automation (VISA)

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET/ SCI LEVEL
