Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $84,000.00/Yr. - USD $139,950.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

SRC is searching for a well-rounded Lab Manager / Systems Administrator with experience configuring, operations and maintenance (O&M), and implementing Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) network topologies on Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Secret Wide Area Network (SWAN) networking devices and IT infrastructure to support sustainment and modernization of Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific’s (NIWC PAC) Information Operations Division, Code 756 systems. These systems consist of an on-premises VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V Hypervisors Sustainment of NIWC PAC systems will be conducted at the government's facilities in San Diego, CA. Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing policies and procedures for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss
  • Overseeing day to day operations of DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities to include entry/ exit requests, access control requests, & guidance
  • Maintaining SCIF visitor control functions
  • Reviewing and confirming visit authorization requests (VARs)
  • Investigating and reporting security violations, and incident reports
  • Conducting SCIF self-inspections in preparation for security audits
  • Maintaining a working relationship with each project’s Team Leads for processing and maintaining employee accesses
  • Coordinating of courier security paperwork with the SSO and projects
  • Providing escort to uncleared personnel in the SCIF environment
  • Providing Independent test, validation, verification, and evaluation (IV&V) of systems during and post installation of software and hardware as required
  • Coordinating and configuring NMCI network
  • Configuring and setting up Secure Video Teleconferencing (VTC)
  • Setting up, installing and configuring IT hardware and peripheral
  • Configuring and coordinating setting up Voice Over IP (VIOP) calls
  • Coordinating and configuring the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) unclassified IT Network
  • Coordinating and configuring the Secret Wide Area Network (SWAN)
  • Providing technical support in the arenas of operations and maintenance, system design, software, configuration and integration
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and integration of existing and emerging IT programmatic program technology, related and required support services
  • Utilizing knowledge of UTP/STP premise cabling and fiber optic premise cabling

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years’ physical, personnel or special security experience with DoD or equivalent Government agencies
  • At least two (2) years’ experience working in a DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility
  • Associate's in information technology or relative technical field, or two+ years equivalent experience 
  • CompTIA Security + Certified
  • Active Top Secret /SCI Security Clearance

Desired Skills

  • SSR/ Lab Management experience
  • Experience writing, interpreting and enforcing security Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Macintosh OS experience
  • Windows OS experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and via telephone.
  • Requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security related matters.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Ability to work 24/7 rotating shifts or after hours

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
