Description

This position will augment our current team discipline of reverse engineering and development of form, fit, function, and interface (FFFI) electronics and avionics solutions for a variety of DoD platforms and military services. We are currently increasing our workload and need additional resources to satisfy customer requirements. This Electrical Engineer will play a vital role on a team that currently performs all tasks required evaluate, design, and produce reverse engineering solutions. This engineer will have opportunity to lead in each phase throughout the process to get from legacy to FFFI replacement.

  • Identifying, defining, and solving complex technical problems which require a high level of ingenuity and innovation
  • Encourages optimum design within project schedule and funding limitations
  • Interacting frequently as the organizational representative with the customer in the collection and translation of customer requirements to defined specifications
  • Making frequent contact with customers, teaming partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain/exchange information, provide technical direction, and assist in the resolution of technical issues
  • Developing and delivering complex technical presentations to high level program management
    and customers
  • Leading major program and/or design reviews and major proposal activities
  • Performing extensive research and complex analysis on a major project to enhance the technical and economic development of the product and/or services; completed reports or studies may be deliverable engineering products to the customer
  • Providing functional and technical guidance to engineers
  • Providing leadership and technical direction for a project team as a lead or technical specialist

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10+ years of work-related experience
  • Application of complex, technical professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices, and methods
  • Advanced level of proficiency to apply broad knowledge and experience
  • Analytical skills
  • Administrative, communication, leadership, short-term planning skills, and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following skills are desired:
    • Circuit / hardware design:
      • PCB Design Tools (Autodesk Fusion / Altium Design)
      • Component Selection
    • FPGA (Firmware) Design in VHDL / Verilog
    • RF engineering:
      • Digital signal processing
      • RF and/or digital hardware design and integration
      • Waveform development and modeling
      • Electronic Warfare systems
    • Proficiency in the one or more of the following toolsets:
      • Modeling Software: MATLAB, SimuLink, MathCAD
      • Radar Signal and Data Processing Toolsets
    • Ability to read engineering drawings

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET LEVEL
