Description

  • Directing/overseeing the work of junior leads
  • Providing analysis and guidance related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for shipboard and/or shore-based products
  • Typically reporting to a manager or head of a unit/department
  • Ensuring team leads perform drawing reviews, scheduling, prebuild kitting, cable fabrication, rack integration, production tracking reporting, testing support, logistic transactions
  • Developing build strategies, device identification, and systems verification
  • Overseeing subordinate technicians training development and implementation
  • Managing integration team’s installation progress; system integration, SOVT support, material movement, and proper project closeout
  • Performing electrical engineering assistance, integration, fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting of electronic/hardware devices and instrumentation
  • Coordinating assistance of local facilities in support of integration team efforts
  • Performing aloft work on antennas, structures and cabling
  • Supporting NIWC customer briefings, meetings, data calls
  • Performing work in a clean and comfortable environment with periodic travel to OCONUS land and shipboard sites for system installation/testing
  • Performing work while seated or standing position, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling heavy objects

Requirements

  • Five+ (5) years of experience supporting C4I systems such as NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antenna Systems, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, GCCS-J, Network Communications, SATCOM, or ADSI in a lab and/or shipboard environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Thorough understanding of Naval Standards:
    • ASME Y14, Engineering Standards Group
    • IEEE Std 45 Electric Installation on Shipboard
    • MIL-STD-1310, Shipboard Bonding, Grounding, and Other Techniques for Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Mitigation, and Safety
    • MIL-STD-2003, Electric Plant Installation Standard Methods for Surface Ships and Submarines
    • NAVSEAINST 9304.1, Shipboard Cable and Cableway Inspection and Reporting Procedures
  • Ability to plan, adjust and coordinate installation processes to meet critical deadlines
  • Experience working with foreign militaries
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Requires special protective equipment, training, and following safety rules to avoid injury

Desired Skills

  • Prior production/installation leadership experience and training
  • Experience with conflict resolution
  • Proven background of resourcefulness and adaptability associated with obstacle resolution (i.e., identifying local vendors, added support services, or personnel issues)

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

Travel Requirements

  • 30% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations
