Description

  • Applying critical thinking skills via distance support troubleshooting/help desk support in order to rapidly assist U.S. Navy personnel in the operations, troubleshooting, and repair of U.S. Navy SIGINT systems
  • Assisting the NIWC LANT In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) responsible for system lifecycle support regarding; but not limited to; fleet technical support, CASREP tracking, procurement, configuration management, production and repair
  • Supporting to ensure that deployed SSEE systems and Navy operators are positioned for success
  • Communicating with Fleet customers electronically and verbally in a professional manner and representing the U.S. Government in the addressing of technical issues and repairs
  • Adhering to workflow processes in order to manage and document technical actions and supporting requests within a database structure
  • Providing waterfront support to afloat cryptologic maintainers
  • Performing system level software testing in order to validate operational readiness
  • Performing in-depth system troubleshooting, software configuration support and recommend resolution on SSEE FoS
  • Performing shipboard installation and verification tests on system upgrades and Engineering Changes (EC)
  • Providing Onboard Technical Assistance (OBTA) underway in various AORs
  • Performing inspection and testing of installed antennas and antenna lines
  • Requiring after hours support on a case-by-case basis

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of the Radio Frequency spectrum to include working with calibration and testing equipment (i.e. Time Domain Reflectometers, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, and Digital MultiMeters) and basic antenna troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows 7+ and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems
  • Working knowledge of system administration
  • Experience with operating in a Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification - Must obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge of Casualty Reports (CASREP) and Optimized Fleet Response Plan

Desired Skills

  • General working knowledge in reference to the hardware installation, system configuration, system administration and maintenance of Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) such as SSEE INC E, INC F or SSEE MODs or Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) systems including; Hostile Forces Integrated Targeting Service (HITS), DRT

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
