Description

  • Managing the daily activities of the technician team in priorities of various assignments and tasks
  • Monitoring the status of tasks and keeping the Program Manager informed of the progress

  • Ensuring that quality goals are adhered to
  • Performing administrative duties as required
  • Acting as company contact in the field with the customer and contractor personnel, exercising a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and mature judgment, conforming to company policy directions
  • Planing, preparing, and conducting on-the-job training as required in support of foregoing activities
  • Performing a variety of complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems as well as experimental design circuitry, prototype models, and/or specialized test equipment
  • Assisting engineering staff members in designing, fabrication, integration and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical packaging including the development of electrical and mechanical prototypes
  • Performing on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of company products and equipment
  • Providing technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
  • Developing test procedures, test plans, test reports, and procedures to maintain lab and calibrate test equipment; May conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing
  • Establishing procedures for the maintenance of equipment including cable diagrams, equipment schematics, and configurations to support various system arrangements
  • May train personnel to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Familiar with variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment (such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, etc.), DVMs and a familiarity with surface mount soldering skills
  • Experience building cable assemblies and electronic chassis assemblies with a high degree of quality
  • Experience being test support for the setup, operation, and teardown of equipment integrated with various platforms. This test support will occur both in the Atlanta location and at remote test locations such as White Sands Missile Range, and other test and training ranges throughout the United States
  • Experience reading schematics and engineering drawings
  • Mechanical skills

Desired Skills

  • Experience with detailed design tasks requiring the application of CAD equipment; designs projects such as simulation, printed circuit boards, and electronic and electrical assemblies requiring development of schematics
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC 610 and 620 certifications
  • Radar experience

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
